This oil is based on a pastel study done on location along the Green river in Utah. It is 30” x 48” on heavy cotton canvas with much of the color applied with small foam rollers. this allowed me to soften the effect and imitate the immediacy of a pastel. Super fun to paint. Framed beautifully. I have just sold this oil to a lovely Paso Robles family where it will hang next to my pastel of Tamarisk trees from the same area.
