Vintage 1940s Wurlitzer Juke Box: “Rama Lama Ding Dong”
This hand-pulled serigraph was created in 1980 with over 40 different colors and several “rainbow rolls”. The original signed and numbered edition of 140 sold out rapidly. Mexican Hot Sauces: “La Comida Mexicana”
Inspired by a popular Mexican Resaturant’s decor Laddon created this limited edition hand-pulled serigraph titled “La Comida Mexicana” during her time at The Torpedo Factory Art Center in Alexandria, Virginia. The original edition of 146 has sold out, but quality giclee reproductions are available in the original size of 30” x 22” on canvas and also on heavy archival paper.
Vintage Slot Machine: “Club Chief”
Titled “Club Chief” this hand-pulled serigraph was limited to an edition of 85 prints and was created in 1976. It was one of the earliest of her pop style serigraphs. This iconic image sold out quickly and is now available on wrapped canvas and on archival heavy paper.
Vintage 40’s Pinball Machine: “Special When Lit”
This original, limited edition, hand-pulled serigraph (silkscreen) is called “Special When Lit” and was created in the early 1980s. It was inspired by a classic 1940s era pinball machine and all the stencils were handcut and produced by the artist. The signed and numbered edition is still available on beautiful Rives BFK paper. It measures 22” x 28”.
Self-Portrait 1981: “Paper Doll”
This life-size, self-portrait is a hand-pulled edition, 40” high, printed on Rives BFK archival paper with over 40 separate colors, some metallic inks. Called “Paper Doll” it portrays Laddon as a tourist on a visit to Japan. The background patterns were inspired by handmade papers she found on that trip. There are still originals available.
